What a nice find. Although the place has been around for some time, we haven't. New to the area, we stopped in today for a wonderful lunch. Had the best shrimp and grits I've ever eaten. Wife had a chicken and quinoa salad that she said was really good. Put the nice food together with friendly service and a funky... More

Started with coffee was ok but there again you could seal the seams in a leaky boat with the stuff I make. I had the Covington omelet which is sausage, crisp baked bacon, onions & mushroom omelet is topped with cheddar cheese and served with country potatoes, English muffin and fruit slice garnish. I added a little salt and pepper... More

Always great food served with friendly service at a wonderful place. Don't miss out on this spot! The omelettes are amazing but there's so much more to offer as well.

Came New Years Day early enough not to wait too long for table. Good coffee. Standard Eggs Benedict was delist and the eggs Benedict over tamales was a great spin on Benedict. Will definitely be back.

We were crossing the causeway bridge and decided to try to find a place for a late breakfast. LaLou is in an old home in the Old Mandeville business area. Parking is a small gravel lot across the street. We had to wait a few moments to be seated even though the restaurant wasn't very busy.(Seating is done by the... More

I love going here for brunch. I usually get the scramblers. They are delicious. This is a great place to eat.

Don't figure on eating for another 12 hours after indulging here. Giant portions, no fast food, no microwave chipping in the kitchen...its fresh and is exactly what is on the menu. No frozen dishes reheated....this is great food with the necessary cajun/creole twist. Ive tried the whole menu...and still can't decide what is best. Yes, you may have to wait... More

Always great food! Great Ambiance. The breakfast is clearly made from fresh ingredients. The sandwiches and especially the hamburgers are amazing. Go often, try everything. And the best caterers around. They served my party recently and people raved on and on about the food! It was so easy to them handle all the food. Yummy.

Thank Jennifer K
