My friends suggested Sushi for dinner recently. I was skeptical as sushi restaurants can mostly be hit or miss in my opinion. My favorite place for sushi in the city was always Kyoto on Prytania. When they closed I was afraid I'd never find anything comparable. Not until I discovered Daiwa that is! We only had a few sushi rolls... More

3 of us went there for sushi. Had the bye bye Katrina roll which was great. The snow crab salad and the Gyoza (potstickers) were great appetizers. I heard music and went in the back, they have karaoke party rooms and it looked like the were all having fun

We always come here whether it's take out or eat in. Great sushi joint and great service. They have now added a party space as well. They do not have a full bar but they do offer beer, wine, and sake. A must try is their habatchi fried rice and the marrero roll.

We live in New Orleans and love sushi. New Orleans is divided by the Mississippi River. The East Bank is where the main part of the city is located. Across the river is the West Bank. The East Bank is blessed by many very good sushi restaurants for years. The West Bank, although having many excellent Chinese and other asian... More

Service - Wonderful! The staff is very nice and helpful. Fast service and food comes out pretty quickly. The owners are always there and frequently goes around greeting people and talking to them. They are a very friendly couple. Food - DELICIOUS! If you are afraid of certain sushi because of the raw seafood, DON'T WORRY! It's EXTREMELY fresh! Value... More

I have been to just about every sushi place on the Westbank. This one is our new FAVORITE! It's a little tucked away gem that has an excellent selection of speciality sushi choices as well an excellent staff that want to serve you. You will not be dissappointed!

This is a bit of a drive if you are staying in the French Quarter or Garden District of New Orleans, but we love sushi and had heard great things about Daiwa, so we wanted to give it a try. We weren't disappointed! They have a huge selection and incredibly reasonable prices. They will also customize things for you and... More

Just opened in February. Ate there once last week and twice this week. It's probably the best or second best sushi available on the Westbank. Definitely the best in Marrero/Westwego/Avondale.
