Short stop is a must do staple for the average Joe working man on his lunch hour. I remember going here with my dad 20 years ago, and it hasn't changed. Great food, quick service and good prices.

Shrimp poboy. The bread was EXTREMELY hard to the point where I couldn't even eat half of my 9 inch....so we left hungry and disappointed

Okay - I'm not a native but I do eat a LOT of po-boys. My favorite by far is Short Stop. The staff is always super friendly, the line moves fast (there is always a line), the tables are comfortable and the food is awesome. My favorite is the debris po-boy with rich, delicious shreds of beef, lettuce and tomato.... More

Definitely THE place for a poboy. Watch them "dress" your sandwich and wrap it up in white butcher paper the old fashioned way. This is where the blue collar and white collar and grandma and the kiddies come for comfort food. My favorite is the roast beef and that's what I always order, but everyone has their favorite. What's yours... More

It's just a quick trip from the airport and sooooo worth the stop. Your first oyster po' boy be sure to get extra mayo and pickles and fully dressed, and if they have soft shell crab, go for it! Yum yum yum yum on french bread. Eat in or take out. Delicious and I am a native of this city... More

This place was packed at lunch. My sandwich was pretty good, but lacked a bit of seasoning. I had it to-go and wished later on that I some hot sauce or something.

Just do yourself a favor and come here for all your po' boy needs. Seriously, no other po' boy compares to these amazing sandwiches. I had the shrimp, my husband had crawfish tails and my sister had the chicken salad and they were ALL AMAZING. It isn't even that expensive!!

For as many years as I can remember, every trip we made to New Orleans included a stop at the Parkway Bakery for a po'boy. During a recent visit, a friend took me to the Short Stop Po-Boys and I was impressed. I had the dressed roast beef and it was superb. Even though I also had one at the... More
