This made our trip to New Orleans memorable. We did half-sandwiches and were absolutely stunned that they could get that much on the roll. Perfect taste. Great prices. This is a jewel that you should experience.

Popped in for a late lunch for 3. We got there at 2:59 They were about to close for the afternoon at 3:00 to prep for dinner reopen. Our waitress advised us to get our order placed, she didn't flinch when we ordered a fried seafood platter, a muffaletta, & 3lbs of crawfish... Our food was fresh & hot. Everything... More

The staff is friendly but the food is mediocre. Fried shrimp is very fishy and the pasta dishes are angel hair instead of fettuccine. You would think a wannabe italian place would serve appropriate pasta dishes. Angel hair is for soup NOT alfredo. The alfredo dish had zero taste, very bland.

Took an Uber out to this place on my most recent place. Man i miss New Orleans. This place was like it was stuck in a time warp. We ordered so much food and boy it was so good!. No frills, nothing fancy, just GREAT AMAZING FOOD and LOTS OF IT! We had a table of four and we split... More

This was my first visit to R & O's, and after being built up by my travel companion for this restaurant I was mildly disappointed. We had 2 pounds of crawfish as an appetizer and the crawfish was OK, and I had a R & O sandwich, it actually tasted better with a little catchup on it. Their onion rings... More

Our adult kids and grandchildren love it. It has a varied menu. The wop salad (that is what it is called, on the menu) is great; I like it with a little less Italian dressing. Pizza and spaghetti are good and so are the sandwiches and seafood.

Hadn't eaten at R & O's in years and decided to go back to see what it was like. It was busy just as I always remembered, but we were seated quickly and our friendly waitress attended to us quickly. We ordered the seafood gumbo, a shrimp poboy, and 2lbs of the boiled crawfish. The seafood gumbo was excellent, with... More

We met our traveling buddies' Sister and her husband (locals) here for dinner and boy was the food good! Everything we ate was wonderful! The BBQ'd Shrimp was super rich... SUPER rich, and absolutely needed the delicious French Bread to sop up all the sauces! Their Gumbo was outstanding, right down to the crayfish claws on the bottom of the... More

I made a return visit to this restaurant after several years. I found the appetizers very good, especially the hush puppies and onion rings. A variety of mains were ordered. I was a bit disappointed in the overall quality. The soft shelled crabs were a bit underdone, and the stuffed crab on the seafood platter was more stuffing than crab.... More

Stopped in on way into New Orleans. First time ever visited...upon recommendation of a friend that use to live there. Soft shell poboy was amazing. Bread was perfect! The half sandwich is definitely more than enough. Gumbo was delicious. If you have eaten at all the yummy poboy places in New Orleans...there are lots to choose from...do yourself a favor... More
