Yall! This place is delicious! Even something as simple as a breakfast sandwich explodes your tastebuds! The chocolate pie is my favorite, and even though I know they're known for their pies, I would go to this place just for the food itself. Definitely a...More

In your looking for a quite laid back breakfast this is not your place, this place is loud and busy and just delicious. Even our super pickle boys were raving about the pancakes. This place it just a good good old fashioned diner. And it...More

This is home cooking at its finest. You won't find a better lunch value. The pies are delicious too.

I've eaten here several times and was never disappointed. Great place for traditional breakfast, burgers, fries, and pies.

Absolutely best strawberry pie I've ever had!!! Charming Atmosphere typical "old school" diner. The Fried chicken and breakfast items are always great choices👍🏼

Breakfast was cold and not what I expected. The eggs, toast, and dry sausage was just thrown in the Styrofoam plate on top of each other. The "hash" was not hash, only potatoes and weren't even seasoned. They could have potential but I was disappointed...More

I bake, is my specialty, and my family grew strawberries to sell at farmer's markets for yearsso I can be kind of picky about pie! The strawberry pie our kind waitress brought us to try while we waited for our early dinner was just wonderful

Lots of the southern favorites. Too many to choose from, LOL. Great tasting coffee, great service. I usually end my breakfast with a slice of pie, strawberry of course! I know, but it’s crazy good!

My wife and I ate breakfast here a couple of weeks ago while we were visiting the area. The service was phenomenal and although the place was hopping the food was served very quickly. We both had eggs, hash browns, bacon and biscuits and it...More

I'm sorry you do not like our hash browns. They are the Greek style we've served for over 70 years, but we understand they are not for everyone.

We have given out the recipe before to Southern Living, but the secret to our recipe is the people who make them. They've been making them the same from scratch, daily; a tradition passed down for 80 years.

Yes they serve that daily. They have their meal special of the day but you can order anything they have on their menu. It's just good down home cooking. All their pies are delicious.

Description
Strawns Eat Shop specializes in Southern Food, and is best know for their famous ice box pies. We have breakfast all day, including fluffy pancakes and "Football" omlettes. For lunch and dinner try a hamburger, chicken fried steak or a blue plate special. Our famous Ice Box Pies have been featured in Southern Living and on The Food Network. Most of our employees have been here for decades! We are the truly one of the last remaining "mom and pop" run restaurants around! Think Norman Rockwell America!! Stop by and eat with the locals because everyone is family at Strawn's!
