Busy Saturday evening. Neither waiter could help with choosing wine from the wine list. Mix up both with one of the main courses ordered and the coffee. Both sorted. Food was acceptable. Nothing special . Ladies toilets were shocking. One was filthy, likely caused by a patron, and the other did not have a toilet seat. Had brought friends from... More

We both had the lovely Lasagne al Forno, honest to goodness Italian food. Not high end but, good nonetheless.

Ordered Pepperoni Pizza. It came with 6 whole pepperoni slices. Nearly one per slice. Someone on here has mentioned that this is the best Italian restaurant they've ever been too. They must have had a very deprived life.

Just finished pizza for lunch and my recommendation would be do not bother or bring your own toppings. One of the table ordered a pepperoni pizza and it came with 6 whole slices of pepperoni that looked like they had been nuked.

La Barca is quite simply the best Italian restaurant I have ever visited. My partner and I first discovered this hidden gem several years ago and have been back numerous times. Not only is the food superb and cooked to perfection, but the staff are very pleasent and couldn't do enough to make you feel welcome. I cannot stress enough... More

We had a very nice meal here, and despite not booking they found us a table. Menu is extensive with the expected Italian choices. Fish risotto and tagliatelle with spicy sausages were our choice, followed by coffee (we weren't very hungry!) We had a table by the widow and the view of the Forth rail bridge was lovely. Staff were... More

Went here for a family dinner after being on one of the boat tours, friendly, fast service & yummy food. Glad the other restaurant we tried was busy.

My partner and I walked in to this restaurant and asked if they had any tables, they asked us to return in 30 minutes so we waited in the cold and returned after 30 minutes to be told that there are no tables and we would have to wait a further 30 minutes. The staff were unhelpful and clearly were... More

Seafood risotto made with long grain rice and frozen seafood, like something out of a can. My partners spaghetti was not al dente, with a bland seafood sauce that again tasted like something out of a can. Lemonade was completely flat. The waiters are friendly and seem to be Italian but the chef has no idea how to cook Italian.... More

Staying over in South Queensferry, wanted somewhere to eat and take in the view of the 3 Bridges all lit up. Good Italian food, established restaurant, staff really friendly and attentive, relaxed atmosphere. Pizza was to die for the base was like eating clouds. Would go back
