I've been to the Nest a few times , over all , pretty good. I got the lobster roll once , and the meat had been frozen . You can tell by the water content of the meat . It wasn't bad , but don't tell me it is fresh when it isn't !

This small local spot is the best place in the area to get fried seafood. The haddock is out of this world and the seafood platter is big enough for 3 people to share. The lobster rolls are large but the lobster has been frozen so not my choice here.

We went at lunch time. I took my elderly parents. They both ordered fish chowder - it was large portions with lots of potatoes and not too much fish. Both had to add condiments saying it was bland. My grilled cheese with bacon was OK, but a bit greasy on the outside. The fries and coleslaw were very good. Looking... More

The Eagle's Nest is the place to go when you're hungry for some deep fried haddock or some seafood,. They have the largest servings anywhere...I often get the haddock sandwich and take home enough for a second meal. This place is very crowded during tourist season because they have the biggest lobster rolls anywhere.

As always, Trip advisor did not steer me wrong. It was delicious! Very small place and they do not accept American Express. They had daily specials but I only wanted lobster.

This is a small restaurant that overlooks the river. Depending on the time of year, there are tourists and lots of locals. If you get there at peak times, you will have to wait outside. It's worth it though because the food is tremendous! They have the biggest and best lobster rolls I've ever had (and I grew up in... More

Eagles Nest is a very small restaurant that is not much to look at, but if what you want is good food and large portions, then you'll be happy you stopped here. It is not at all fancy; we don't think they are interested in awards for decor. We had fish chowder that was some of the best we've ever... More

Small road side diner that is best known for their lobster rolls (best I've found in Maine so far), fried or broiled scallops, shrimp, or haddock. Chowder was good and chunky. Not sure if they were home cut but the french fries and onion rings were very good. Portions are very generous. 12 ounce hamburgers and the lobster roll was... More

After we ordered our food and were waiting, we looked around and unfortunately we saw dirt and grime everywhere. The food was ok, but we were worried about the cleanliness so we would never go back.

We met another couple here on a rainy Friday on the way to Great Pond Outdoor Activity Center, Small diner on the Penobscot River. Nice view but small seating area with no frills, booths and small counter. Seafood themed that was nicely priced, tasted good, and large quantities! My wife had Fish Burger (Fried Haddock Sandwich) that could have fed... More
