This was our "go to" place for casual or fine dining when we lived in Brooklin. Owner a first rate wine afficianado and gracious host. Food organic or local. A small kitchen with big accomplishments! Don't miss it!

Astounding wine list, super accommodating chef, extraordinary mashed potatoes (it's the "simple" things that are the hardest) & wonderful pastry chef. Don't miss it.

We had dinner on a somewhat busy Saturday night. No reservations and no problem getting a table. The staff were courteous AND fun, and we had a nice table on the screened porch. Appetisers were a grilled vegetable mix and a salad, both were really...More

We were seated in the main dining room for an early (6:00 pm) dinner. The phone in the foyer rang frequently and was quite loud. We asked if they might address the issue. They offered to move us to another table, but this would have...More

I can't figure out that phone either, and I know it must have been irritating. Unfortunately, I wasn't there that evening, but our waitress did confirm what the writer described. They should have just moved the phone...the ringer goes with it. I am very sorry...More

Friendly waitstaff, good service, and delicious, fresh, locally-sourced food! We ate in the Brooklin Inn's dining room twice this week - once for the haddock from the "pub"menu and once for lobster and salmon ravioli - portions were small but satisfying - delicious seafood and...More

We ordered steamers for appetizer and got clams of various sizes, some too big to eat as steamers. The main courses were good but portions were quite small, for example entree of scallops had 4 scallops but was quite expensive, although I dont recall the...More

Steamer Clams are soft shell clams. They are not the Cherrystones that show up more and more as steamers. Cherrystones or hard shell clams can grow up to be Quohogs...too big to steam and are used in chowder. Steamers are just as good big or...More

I think we hit an off night with the wait staff at Brooklin Inn. Our meal was really tasty--had the mussels in wine sauce followed by scallops and it was marvelous. Definitely recommend the scallops! The detractor was the confusion among the wait staff. Items...More

Thanks for your comments and good words about our dinners. Everyone works hard to make the evenings enjoyable and satisfying. Sometimes things don't work out perfectly or worse. A new chef, more mature and with better judgement since Aug 1st has made a big difference....More
