Restaurant was clean and atmosphere looked appealing. But the food and some of the policies needed work. Ordered spinach and artichoke dip with pita chips. The dip was good and a large amount for 4. However there's not enough chops for the dip. When we asked for some more chips the server told us we would have to pay. I... More

Pleasant atmosphere and decent food tempt us to come in once in a while, but the crowd and noise is usually enough to make us change our mind. They do have good music entertainment on certain nights.

Tried Byrne's at the recommendation of friends. Small restaurant with a true Irish pub feel. The pomegranate mimosa was tasty, as were the spicy Leprechaun balls (think jalapeño poppers in sphere shapes.) Bangers and mash was mighty tasty as we enjoyed the musical accompaniment. Very good service; our entire party was pleased with the experience.

Murphy's on tap and an Irish Quesadilla - It doesn't get any better than Byrnes homemade corn beef hash in their Irish Quesadilla!

We went over the Bath bridge, made a U-turn,came back through heavy traffic across the bridge just to eat here. Every year that we come to Maine, we make Byrne's a destination meal. The Brooklyn pastrami sandwich is perfectly prepared; the specialty "destroyer" soup is so good you have to also take home a good sized portion. The salmon was cooked to... More

When Ebenezer's was The Lion's Pride, it was our go-to joint because of the great beer selection (around 35 drafts, nearly all European) and excellent food. When it became a brew pub, the draft choices became limited to the handful of in-house beers, usually only one or two appealing, and the menu changed, losing the best of their entrees. We... More

The cashermole is great; & our server very good as well BUT the fish tacos were tremendously disappointing. Better fish tacos at Sea Dogs a 10 minute walk away. Lesson is: stay with traditional Irish Fare for bang for your buck. Great beer selection on tap.

We eat at Byrnes Tavern every other week. They have delicious traditional Irish food such as Bangers and Mash, Pub meatloaf, Shepherds Pie, Rueben Sandwiches, Pastrami burgers. They also have a very long beer list including Newcastle on draft, which is my husband's favorite. Wednesdays are trivia night and Friday night is live entertainment. And the nachos are the best... We met friends for dinner and a beverage and had a great experience. Dinner was great, beer was cold, atmosphere was fun and I will definitely be visiting again when in town.
