Crowded on beautiful warm sunny days, I recommend you visit on a cloudy even stormy day or evening. The food will be great as usual but the experience will be so different. The sea will be roiling but you'll enjoy the cozy atmosphere inside the shack.

The only reason for the stars is because of the location. This is one of the worst lobster pounds because of the way the people run the business. Overpriced, poor quality lobsters. For a better experience in the Portland area, drive to South Freeport and go to Harriseckett Lunch and Lobster. It is in a working harbor and that makes... More

This place was a little expensive but 1000x better than the lobster roll I had at Eventide the day before in the city. Fresh lobster chunks sat, crammed inside a toasted bun, and my husband and I split clam strips that were HUGE, full bellies included. Highlight of our trip!

Small place with really fresh seafood and fantastic views of the Atlantic Ocean. The lobster roll was full of sweet, tender lobster and the fried clams were equally good. The lobster roll did have a dallop of mayo on top that would offend some purists. However, I found it easy to scoop off and enjoy the succulent lobster. The outdoor... More

BYOB, BUT THE FOOD IS DELICIOUS. You cannot beat the scenery. This is the Maine coast at its best. Don't forget to try the filled cookies.

The perfect place to spend a summer evening. Picnic tables with the most breathtaking views of the Atlantic ocean. Pricey for the fare -- lobster rolls, fried clams, etc, but bring your own bottle of wine, etc and enjoy the million dollar view .

TOTALLY DISGUSTED with what I just saw. While waiting to use the restroom, I watched an employee (specifically someone who had been preparing lobster rolls) come and check on the status of the men's bathroom. With her bare hands, she lifted up the toilet seat and checked the toilet, fussed around with the toilet a bit before shaking her head... More

One of our favorite places for lobster rolls and fried clams and today did not disappoint! Lobster roll was chock full of meat and market price was only $17.95, despite lots of media articles about outrageous prices this year.

Location location location....this is what makes this place. The Atlantic right there...just feet from the picnic tables...the slaty air...the lobster boats in the distance. The seagulls were even mindful as you ate...pretty amazing. The service was friendly and helpful. The food was good but not mind blowing. The lobster roll was filled with claw meat in a slice of toasted... More

Spent several days in the area and was craving a lobster roll. Theirs was full of lobster and did not disappoint. My husband's fried clam and fries also delicious. Beautiful spot to enjoy the wonderful Maine coast.
