Landmark bakery in York closed down. Was the go to place for incredible pies. Hopefully a new bakery will take it's place.
Great pies for special occasions but the owners have recently retired . It's just a heads up for those who looked forward to eating or eating their pies .
Don't know if we were given an older pie, but the pastry was very soggy. I was glad that I didn't buy it to serve to guests. We ate it smothered in custard which made it taste better.
