An awesome outdoor patio to enjoy some delicious pub food and cold beer with great service. There is a variety of local beer available on tap.

Food was very good with a clam bake atmosphere. The server was good, quick and anticipated most needs. The only real downside is the lobster crackers and picks are plastic. Hard shell lobsters were a real pill to break open, and all of our plastic...More

Lively little bar downstairs and lovely s if seating by upstairs. Chili is excellent and so is the lobster roll. Gluten free options are available. Reasonably priced. Downstairs bartender was excellent,.. she’s very friendly and always had a smile.

I went to Gritty McDuffs with family which included one toddler. The service was a little slow but in all fairness it was the weekend and it was very busy. The food was delicious. I ordered baked haddock which was fresh, baked perfectly, plentiful and...More

A great stop when you are headed into Freeport Maine. Plenty of parking, a good beer selection, meat loaf, salads, seafood-- good if you've got a big group with varying tastes. Friendly service and neat atmosphere.

I'm going to state by saying the food was sooooooo unbelieveably good. My boyfriend and I visited over the weekend and got 'Smoked Pork Fries' which consisted of sweet potato fries, pulled pork, cheddar jack cheese, barbeque sauce with a side of MAPLE sour cream....More

kind of rough road house, very bland food, lousy karaoke singer billed as live entertainment. Food ranged from poor to ok for a family of six. very bland, kind of like food you would get at a ballpark.

I have been going here for years! This is easily one of our frequent family stops. The beers are perhaps not as trendy as other breweries in Maine, but they are solid. Tried the SOS today and it was very good. They have cask conditioned...More

Gritty McDuff's, Maine's Original Brew Pub specializes in hand-crafted English style ales and traditional and creative pub fare, in a friendly and fun atmosphere. Both Gritty's fine ales and the pubs have won countless "best of" awards through our twenty-six years of operation. Our standard brews are session beers, Gritty's Pub-Style Pale Ale, McDuff's Best Bitter, Black Fly Stout, allowing one to have multiple beers within a reasonable time period without overwhelming the senses. Our seasonal and varietal ale offerings are more adventurous, some with a higher ABV, and some with higher IBU. We brew a beer for all craft brew palates. For the diner, we offer traditional pub fare alongside not so traditional specialty items. Our pub-style long tables with benches easily accommodate parties of all sizes and add to the camaraderie.
