The best chowder and blue berry pie. I was thrilled to see the rebuilding starting after the fire. I missed them this summer and winter!

I love this place. It has a cozy atmosphere and my favorites are the lobster bisque and the turkey avacado sandwich. That is the good news. The bad news is that, unfortunately there was a serious fire at the restaurant recently and the building needed...More

The absolute best lobster bisque we have ever had. We make it a point to eat here every time we visit Maine. Excellent food and terrific service. Some of the friendliest wait staff we have met anywhere.

We LOVE the Corsican-- so much variety and great gluten-free options. Unfortunately, it burned down yesterday (4/27/16), and it is not known at this time if they will rebuild.

You might miss this restaurant if you weren't looking for it. This Corsican is on a quiet side street right in town next to the CVS. In my opinion it is one of the best places to have lunch in Freeport. It is more of...More

The haddock sandwich is the best I've enjoyed for awhile! Great friendly service with delicious food at reasonable prices. An A+!

It's true what everyone says about the chowder, it's really good. The salads, sandwiches, pie and friendly service all make this a good place to relax and enjoy.

For years this has been my favorite restaurant in Freeport. The homey atmosphere, reasonable prices, well-flavored food that satisfies... on a cold Maine day, it feels a bit like going to grandma's house, not an impersonal restaurant.

We regard the Corsican as our default food destination when we eat out in Freeport. Their seafood chowders are to kill for and the owner takes personal interest in your experience there.

This is one of those places that the locals go to, so you know it's got to be good. Not sure if I've ever had more than the pizza because it's so good that's what I crave when I go. It's also been around forever....More

The Corsican Restaurant is conveniently located just around the corner from L.L. Bean in the historic district and jewelry section of town at 9 Mechanic Street, in an original 1800's carriage house. We have two dining rooms and a new outdoor patio dining area. We serve sandwiches, salads, pizza, homemade soups and chowders, Blueberry pie, lemon layer cake, warm gingerbread and more. Our specialty is fresh delicious food served in a friendly Maine atmosphere. We also have gifts, Maine memorabilia and Angel from Maine ornaments.
