A few years ago, I wrote a scathing review of this well-known Northeast Harbor Inn and restaurant. In 2015, management changed hands. For the past two summers, we have enjoyed wonderful lunches on the deck. Service is excellent (management brought in the staff from Jordan...More

This restaurant is located inside the historic hotel. We didn't have a meal but when for the popovers. They are a special treat and worth the drive. The place is located on the quiet side of the island and quite charming. The popovers were great...More

A little bit away from the tourist center of Bar Harbor, but worth the drive. There are also wonderful places to visit near here. The Inn is charming and the restaurant upscale, with fair prices. The portions were large and very good. They suggest starting...More

The customer service is terrible, if people are spending a lot of money to stay there one would think you would at least be greeted at the door. Never again

We stopped at Asticou for lunch following a tour of Thuya Gardens and it really helped make the day special. The outside patio is lovely with a terrific view. I had the lobster quiche and it was delicious, while my friends enjoyed lobster salad which...More

After checking into the Asticou Inn around sunset after a long drive, I wasn’t in the mood to go driving around looking for dinner. Lucky for me, the Inn also has a restaurant. I started with the lobster stew, then moved on to flounder stuffed...More

I was looking forward to a great meal. I was extremely disappointed. The food was barely mediocre. I was looking forward to having calamari which was on the menu on line on their website. Then the waitress tells me we took that off the menu...More

Food was just okay and a bit overpriced. To add scallops to a pasta dish was an additional 13.00 and you got maybe 5 small scallops.....Food itself was edible but not memorable....service was decent. Popovers were good but with the price you are paying for...More

70 degree weather, outside dining overlooking the pool, apple tree and bay. Popovers that came with my soup (2 per order) were enough to share. The french fries with herb mayo were a great starter. We only had about a 25 minute wait on the...More

I am a member of the Down East Yacht Club out of Boothbay Maine. We travel to NEH most years on our annual coastal cruise. Many of our members, myself included love having an evening dinner at the Asticou. It was brought up at our last cruise meeting that we would like to have our banquet dinner in NEH, also if possible at the Asticou. Do you have banquet facilities, and a list of meals available? We are usually about 35+ boats staying in the harbor, which would be somewhere around 70 +/- dinner guests. At this time we plan to be at the marina on August 12th and 13th. (tues. & Wed.) I look forward to hearing from you, Anne M. George
