Monday at 7pm only 2 seats left at the bar. A few tables taken in the dining room. We chatted with a frequent diner at the bar. There were several specials but we stayed on menu: Szechuan beef with sugar snap peas, red pepper. carrots over jasmine rice. Choice of heat scale 3 of 5. We went with 3, which... More

I treated a friend to dinner here as a Thank You. It was quiet on a Wednesday night. We like our server though we never got her name. We sat in a booth and both ordered our entrees from the specials board: baked crab-stuffed haddock, rice, demi salad and pork loin with blue cheese and basil-wrapped prosciutto, asparagus and mashed... This is a restaurant I used to frequent but for some reason it fell off my radar. We decided to check it out. Surprisingly, many of old faves were still on the menu which was great. Ordered fish and chips, grilled steak salad and a pulled pork sandwich. All three were spectacular. The fish and chips was extremely fresh haddock... More

There was a time I would recommend this place in a heartbeat, but with the new chef the quality of the food has gone down. It is hard to give up a place I have been going to for at least 7 years, but I am going to have to stop going.

We shared the grilled lamb salad – delicious – plus the roasted eggplant with grilled pita -- very tasty. Don't be mislead by the unassuming exterior. Service was pleasant and casual – food took a while to come out of the kitchen but we were in no rush. Would recommend and return.

When we asked our tour guide at the Longfellow House for a recommendation near the Art Museum she didn't hesitate to indicate this place. It has a large menu with many straigtforward choices. Nothing fancy but good food

Excellent food, good vegetarian options, and charming waiter with nice ambience and music choice. My only suggestion is that it would be nice if they had more salad selections that did not include meat.

Came with friends who love the place and they are right. Love the funky atmosphere. The service was outstanding and the food just amazing. What a margarita! The fried calamari was crisp and delicious. I had a pulled pork sandwich that was huge and mouthwatering. The pan-fried fish looked great and the fried oyster I tried was perfect. But the... More

I've ate at the Congress Grill a number of times and never been disappointed.. It's a staple restaurant on Congress St. Seems like they get a lot of regulars which gives it a nice personal touch! Our server, Thomas was awesome!
