The holy do it makes donuts that are made from Maine potatoes (not flour). It's always very busy and offers many rare varieties of donuts. I had heard great things, but didn't think that the taste of the donuts warranted the price of them. Their donuts are about twice the cost of other locations donuts

If you have never tried this type of donuts and are up for a treat, you must try these donuts. Maple syrup and bacon one of my favorites!

Hands down the best donut i have had in my life. I had the sweet potato coffee cake donut. My boyfriend had the sweet potato ginger donut but he preferred mine. I loved the texture and taste of this. I will never have any other donut again. They also have fresh squeezed juice here and coffee drinks. Our friend had a... More

We stumbled on this donut shop while visiting Portland. Absolutely the best donuts I have ever had. My daughter has a gluten allergy and they also have excellent gluten free donuts, which are just as delicious. We visited this shop 3 times while we were there, however, be aware that when they sell out of donuts, the shop closes.

We grabbed donuts from here for the second time on a recent trip to Portland and they were good! I like some of the funky flavors they have like sweet potato ginger glazed. Parking was difficult,so my husband dropped me off and circled around as I grabbed some to go. Donuts are good and made fresh, but you definitely have... More

These are some of the best tasting donuts of all time. If you like the DD stay away from here. These are artisan delicious and have developed a cult following. "Flavors" are rather eccentric but extremely well balanced. Favorites include dark chocolate/sea salt and sweet potato/ginger. These are made with potatoes, fresh potatoes. Not potato flour, mashed potatoes. These are... More

We happened by The Holy Donut and after seeing potato donuts I just had to give it a try. There was a line (after tasting one, now I can understand) but the line moved pretty quickly. There were more traditional flavors such as chocolate and vanilla but then there were others such as pomegranate, maple bacon and sweet potato ginger... More

Delicious donuts in a spectrum of classic and creative flavors. These donuts got me thinking about what donuts tasted like becure they were all made at centralized factories. You can taste the quality and effort that goes in to them. Yum!

Donuts that are dense, sweet and delicious. There might be other foods and beverages in the store, I haven't noticed! You better plan to exercise before and after your visit, because you will struggle to "eat just one." Amazing flavors - my students particularly love it when I stop in for the sea-salt caramel chocolate donuts - and I have... More

If you want to pay $36 for a dozen doughnuts (or one for $3) this is the place for you. The first time I purchased doughnuts here it was because they were gluten free and someone in my family is allergic to gluten. Not only did I not care for the doughnuts but neither did the person with celiac. I... More
