I had the Cameroon organic - it was awesome! Who needs SBUX when you can have organic coffee from a small local shop!

My girlfriend and I were walking around Portland and she suggested going here because I like coffee. As we walked in we were greeted by the girl closest to the door who seemed nice. As we looked at the menu several other customers entered and were greeted by name, by the same girl. I decided that I didn't really want... More

My visit was in the afternoon and I wanted coffee but no caffeine. The man behind the counter offered to brew me a decaf Americano so I took him up on it. It was so, so robust and exactly what a cup should be. Not even the overly loud, overly exhubert college student dialogue happening just a few feet away... More

We visited here while walking around Portland from our Cruise ship. The cafe is warm and welcoming with plenty of well set out seating. It was quite busy when we were there so the locals must like it. Our coffees were the best we had in the U.S.A. Well done!

Bars is a nice coffeehouse serving up very good espresso, but short of world class. They certainly have the gear: a $25K Victoria Arduino VA388 Black Eagle Gravitech with load cells sensing weight of liquid extracted into each cup is a work of technical art. But there must be some other details in the chain still needing improvement to reach... More

My favorite coffee shop in Old Port Portland, if not the entire country. Coffee is full-spectrum with all the right high and low notes. Drinks expertly created. My cappuccino was more creamy than foamy and the taste divine. So good I had to have two. Interior decor soothing in light green/grey paint, steel counters & chairs, and faux wood floor.... More

My husband and I love trying local coffee shops and definitely would come back to Bard. My husband's dark roast was one of the top coffee's he has ever had and my mocha was "toasty warmy" and pretty too! The staff was also quite friendly as well as the locals answering our questions!

Bard Coffee is a nice cafe. My wife and I came in for a quick latte and, despite the place being pretty crowded, we're able to find window seats. While there, I noticed that there was a pretty constant flux of people coming and going, but that it stayed fairly full of people. Service was polite and efficient and the... More

During our long treks around Portland, we found the need to rest and refresh and Bard Coffee was the perfect spot. We bought coffee beans to make our own at home...it was that good. There are nice seats at the window with great views and places to plug in...nice touch. Good vibe here. Small groups in conversation, wonderful smells and... More
