Cute location with outdoor seating. The wait wasn't too long. We had dozen oyster , clam bake , and lobster roll Wow! Clam bake clam bake clam bake! Wish I had more days to come back to get it again. Not to say that the...More

We went on a Tue evening and had to wait about 30 mins (was supposed to be longer, but was shorter by opting for a communal table), which wasn't bad as we hadn't even finished our drinks at the bar in this time. We had...More

Overall not worth the cost or long on wait. Wine too expensive. Lobster roll did not have much meat. Loud too. On Friday night people who had tables ate and then sat & drank a long time.

After reading all the reviews before coming to Portland this was on my hit list. A little afraid about the wait so we went Sunday morning even though we were not sure we would be ready for lunch. Got there at 11:17 (they open at...More

Very thrilled we were able to have a meal here. The first night we got in town we knew we wanted to try it but at 8pm there was a 3 hour wait and that was a Sunday. So we knew we had to go...More

Eventide had the best lobster roll I ever had, but the wait was ridiculous. The hostess said the wait would be 30-45 minutes, but we ended up waiting an hour and 15 minutes. If you like lobster rolls, this is the place to go, just...More

Oysters here were great, not perfectly shucked but loads of fresh brine and so so local. The crudo and fried fish was insanely good. Super busy even at 3 on a Sunday. Great spot to get fresh fresh seafood. Highly recommend the cookie ice cream...More

Don't know why Eventide gets such great reviews...unless one likes raw oysters, which I don't. Must have good marketing and PR. Have been here twice...first time for the lobster roll. Yes, its unusual (on a dum sum bun) but not much lobster. Second time think...More

Avoid the clam chowder, I've had better at Red Lobster. But their Lobster roll was wonderful, you pay$15 for a hot dog size portion. Be careful to put enough money in the parking meter for the wait.

We were in Portland for 3 nights and went to Eventide twice! It was that good. The brown butter lobster roll was the best thing I have ever had. The oysters were unbelievably fresh and had a huge local selection. The tuna tarter was the...More

I'm not sure this would work well for kids. It's a loud restaurant with banquet style seating. At first glance the menu doesn't seem too pricey but it is when you take into account the tiny size of the portions, which they... More

Just opened and is owned by Hugo's next door. Excellent "tapas" small plate seafood. Oysters from Maine and away. Incredible cured Artic Char.
