We wanted something quick & light so we opted to share a tuna melt & a bowl of clam chowder. Sandwich was good but nothing to write home about. The chowder had more potatoes than at other restaurants. Again nothing memorable. Waitresses were friendly &...More

Had lunch here today. I was alone and sat at the bar. Bartender was pleasant, the beer good. Great oysters. Lobster roll was excellent, unadorned with anything. Add your own mayo if you wish.

tight little spot right on the docks.....I personally don't like oysters but... my wife said they weren't nearly as good as going to Scales or Street and Company....that being said, J's is still a place to try.

I will start with the good. They make strong drinks. Now that that's out of the way we can talk about the food. I really can't say anything good about the food. With so many great places to eat, WHY would you eat here? Stop...More

Lots of Lobstermen were here eating- very local place with great food. My haddock was awesome and so was the chowder. WE sat at the bar and acted local- except our accent gave it away!!!!!

All I can say is that I've never noticed a dog in J's.

No. And it gets pretty crowded on weekend evenings. When you arrive, give your name to the staff by the register inside the main entrance; they will put you on a list.
Is there parking?
