The Great Lost Bear is a terrific place to meet friends for a good time. The food is delicious and interesting. The restaurant has a pub-like atmosphere, and many people do order beer with their meal, especially in the evening. At lunch, less beer might be consumed, but the fun atmosphere and pub food is still prevalent. The restaurant is... More

We had dinner at GLB with another couple. Hostess greeted us and seated us promptly. A wide selection of food on the menu. Servers are friendly and thoughtful. The other couple had dietary issues which the server and kitchen readily accomodated. Have a whole GF menu. They have a ton of beers on tap and cool drinks. I had the... More

This is a lively bar with a wide selection of beer. While we came for the beer, we ended up having dinner. The pub has an extensive menu with many tasty options. It also has many vegetarian options. Service is friendly and helpful.

It's got a great local vibe and is as authentic as it gets. Great craft beer selection, really good bar food and lots of it. Friendly and very efficient service. The only possible knock is that it gets really crowded between regulars and tourists. But it doesn't knock them off their stride. Not fancy food, or a place you'd go... More

Have been here a bunch of times and finally reviewing. Great selection of food, all pub fare with some unique addition. Huge beer selection and always pint of the day for $3 (I think)! Really cool, hipster vibe. Parking can be tough.

I have been here several times and I'm always surprised by how good the food is for a very laid back pub. So very many beers to choose from. Indoor and outdoor seating. Truly a Portland favorite of locals.

We came to Portland for lobster, beer and to see the city and we're told to try The Great Lost Bear bar. We go parking right out front so we didn't have to walk which was good since we didn't know the area. We were greeted with the hostess who seated us quickly and was very nice. Our waiter came... This was close by to where were staying - let me say it's a fun joint with good food. HUGE menu with a big beer selection, too. We saw every age group in this place, so it's a great family place. Portions were big, so come hungry :)

Luckily this was in walking distance of our lodging, so we checked this bar out a couple of times. Friday was busier than Sunday (no big surprise there). We sat at the bar both times - better banter with bar staff & locals that way. We tried 3 flights of 5 draft ales each (it has to be done!) Our... More
