So different. Everything was fresh and local. I had eggs on a boat. Poached eggs over spinach, butternut squash, fresh goat cheese on a brioche. Coffee was hot and service was very good.

The Front Room was incorrectly listed under "vegan" on Portland's restaurant week website. But that's not why it gets one star. When my friend and I asked about the vegan options and were told we were mistaken, the waitress was nothing but rude and condescending. Instead of apologizing for the mistake and offering to try and find something that she... More
I've been frequently this place for years, particularly at brunch, but it stands up to dinner as well. Amazing and creative menu of comfort food classics and new takes. Prices are very reasonable, and the drink options are always great. Small spot, so be prepared to wait, but it is well worth it.
We were staying just down the street, went here twice for brunch and one for drinks at the bar. Love this place! Second time had to wait a while since it was January 1st, totally worth it. Only complaint is since it is an open kitchen I think they could use better extractors but it was not something bad, unless... More
Went several weekends ago, stopped in Sunday AM perhaps 10AM. We found this place through other reviews on social media. It's a decent size, kind of rustically decorated breakfast place in a residential neighborhood. We were sat within a couple of minutes, got coffee and ordered a Bloody Mary and Mimosa, and got those quickly, so it was off to... More
We recently visited Portland for a weekend get-away and happened upon this restaurant close by to our Air B&B. It was POURING rain outside that night and a little cold, so entering the quaint, warm room made for instant comfort. We arrived at 7pm - was seated at a booth shortly after arrival. There isn't much seating, so we were... More
Awesome breakfast / brunch. Typical breakfast offerings with tasty variations and emphasis on locally sourced ingredients. Almost always a wait, so call ahead or expect to wait (at the bar). Great area to walk around too.
We heard great reviews and thought we'd give it a go. Its located in the East End neighborhood amongst residential apartments. The restaurant itself is tiny (about 40 seats) with the kitchen right there next to the tables. We got there on a relatively early Friday night and got seated within 15 minutes. Our waitress Sara was friendly and the... More
Greatly enjoyed our food, and great service. Got luck to get there early enough to avoid a wait. Biscuits and gravy were scrumptious, as was everyone else's food. Overall, great brunch!
