We were killing time and found this place on Phantom Gourmet (a site on facebook for many local east coast restaurants that I highly suggest looking into). Iran nothing fancy on the inside, but they have some very yummy flavors of donuts (the maple glaze is awesome) along with muffins, turnovers, and pie like things.

These doughnuts are soooo good, and I loved the variety. I haven't had a strawberry filled doughnut since I was a kid!! I live in Rhode Island so I'm only a few hours away. On our next trip to Portland, we will definitely stop and take home a dozen or two!! Do it! You won't be sorry.

Old school donut shop. Handmade donuts, lots of variety, fresh and wow, they taste great. I'm partial to the coffee cake and the molasses glazed donut. Don't forget to try the whoopie pies, I think they are the best in town.

A sign in the window says "Life is uncertain, eat dessert first." So that's what I did. The best apple fritter I've ever had!

I should make it my job to try every homemade donut shop in the state of Maine and if it's on your list you should stop in. But I don't think I could work there, pretty sure they have a room just for powered sugar and that employee must wear a hazmat suit or they would die of sugar overload.... More

We were staying across the street and I wanted a quick bite for breakfast and found Tony's across the street. We walked in and were greeted by an amazing smell. I bought a large, delicious orange cranberry walnut muffin and four hot cross buns. I don't often find hot cross buns so that was a pleasant surprise. They were very... More

Oh not bad, but not as good as I used to be on the donuts. Getting kind of expensive too. Don't get me wrong they are still delicious, and the other baked goods are still good as well. They just used to be better.

This is THE place for donuts. The real thing, unglamorously presented but JUST what you want when you want a donut. Enough said....find this place, park in the lot, and check it out. Just don't eat too much - the temptation will be great, but watch that waist!!

No fancy ingredients. No breakfast sandwiches. No gluten free options. No lattes or cold brewed coffee. Just good - no - GREAT donuts served by people who have been in the donut business since before cupcakes were cool. Truly a Portland gem. Quintessential donut shop - the kind you grew up going to.

First of all this place has such a classic donut shop feel. No frills just great donuts. The smell inside is so amazing. Molasses donuts, chocolate coconut, glazed, etc. Everything was good. It would be dangerous to live close by, because I'd be there much too often.
