We have been told to come here for really good local music. This first time for the early 6pm show that lasted to 7.50 pm was outstanding jazz from Camels Back. Smallish place I am sure gets full later. Gin Gimlet was excellent and the Med Plate delicious and really good value for 3 items shared with hot bread.

I went here on a whim, nothing much to do. The place was empty but every other night I pass by it is usually jumping. The had a band which was nice. The place is very basic. They have signature cocktails but kind of pricey for the product. Speaking of pricey, you must order a drink in this establishment. I... More

We enjoyed drinks and music here. The bands play for your generous donations and we stopped in about 3 times during our 4 day visit to Maine. Our favorite barmaid was Ace (Short for Acelynn). She was wonderful and very friendly. I lost a vintage piece of jewelry we bought earlier in the day and she found it! She ran... More

First time here but it won't be our last! Great jazz from 3 kids! Well they were our kids age, 27 or so, but they were wonderful! Had drinks and appetizers and they were great also.

I've been here many times. BLUE is a neat performance venue, showcasing local and 'from away' talent most every night of the week, with a range of styles and performance type. On this visit a close friend and I attended the Second Annual Colleen Clark & Friends Christmas Show. 8 or 10 performers took to the stage for holiday music,... More

Went here with family and friends for Saturday Jazz. A non-ticketed evening walk-up. Here, that 'this feels good vibe' hits you when you walk through the door. An unpretentious, relaxed, intimate place. No pressure to eat, or drink copious amounts. The artists are paid by donation when the basket comes around during the different Sets. This is how it used... More

This bar/tavern has 10 beers on tap (mostly local), super friendly staff, and great live music every night! I recommend going on Wednesday - it's Irish music night!

I live in New York and loved the low pressure vibe of this bar...free admission, donations for artist, and as little or as many drinks as you would like, so different from New York. Great place to see local/upcoming musicians.

If you want a throwback club with a great variety of music. This is the place. Small venue with great sound and some interesting sounds. And I mean varied. Drinks are reasonable and contributions for the music is the norm, national acts are pre-ticketed. A cozy plac eto have a drink, grab a bite and chill to the music.

Loved the ambiance and the fact that the business supports budding jazz artists. Drinks could've used a heavier pour for what they are charging, though. Unfortunately, we weren't crazy about the band that was playing when we went. Not that they were bad, it was the style of jazz that we weren't crazy about. Had we enjoyed the music more,... More
