My husband and I were passing through Rockland and thought we would stop for a quick bite to eat somewhere. We weren’t sure where to go and just figured while walking through town something would pop out. We saw Atlantic Baking Co. on the corner...More

All of their breads look nice but they all taste like chlorine! It must be the flour they use. They also need to add some salt. Coming from Chicago where we have wonderful breads I have tried several varieties from this place and they are...More

We wanted a quick, light bite after visiting The Farnsworth. I did my homework, and narrowed our choices to 5 eateries in Rockland. Atlantic Baking has distinct advantages: it is right across the street, and it boasts serious pastries. And breads. And, again: very serious...More

I have enjoyed the chilis and soups here, as well as the pastries, especially the chocolate-dipped macaroons! I have also liked the scones. Recently, I bought a double apple pie, which was good, but overpriced at about $25! Also, sometimes the coffee is lukewarm. But...More

This is a real nice bakery that is fun to see all the things that they have. They also have pre-made sandwiches and soup. The lemon sponge cake is excellent, as are the muffins. They do have seating, and you help yourself if you just...More

This is our "go to" place after visiting the Farnsworth Museum across the street. There is a wonderful assortment of pastries, breads, soups, etc., plus very good coffees. Sandwich, sesame salad, and dessert cannoli were all very good.

I will start by saying that I do tend to be quite picky when it comes to baked goods. Their muffins are wonderful, cant go wrong with those! But some certain things, such as cookies, brownies, etc seem a bit dry, and stale just from...More

Looking for a very light lunch, we asked a shopkeeper's advice, and she was on-target! The white bean and Italian sausage soup was tangy, chock full of 'taters and carrots and sausage (not one of those servings that hardly has an ounce of solids in...More
