We needed lunch before visiting the Farnsworth Museum. Cafe Miranda has an extensive and varied menu, but we wanted to stick to seafood. The fish chowder was perfect: a big piece of haddock, potatoes, corn, and very good bacon with a touch of maple flavor....More

The staff was pleasant and prompt. Unfortunately the food didn't live up to the hype. Tried the brisket but it was a small amount of fatty meat buried in a huge bowl of vegetables and noodles. Looked like slop- not artfully presented at all. Disappointing.

We had Saturday lunch here because of a recommendation from a friend. The food was amazing! First, you need about 10 minutes to read the menu because the options are overwhelming! So many things looked delicious. We settled on the homemade gnocchi with a Gorgonzola...More

Surely the best restaurant in town. Small, unpretentious, large and ambitious menu, great atmosphere, good service, five star by Rockland standards.

Were divine. I had to wait for our takeout order about 10 minutes because they were very busy but was absolutely dumbfounded how they produce such good results from a gigantic menu in a very small space. Lots to look at in the quirkily decorated...More

It's hard to imagine that any kitchen could manage to deliver excellence with so little focus. The menu is enormous! Everything we had was great including "deconstructed cassoulet". Cocktails were a little weak. My vodka tonic was flat. The blueberry margarita was too sweet. But...More

Typically when I look at a menu, there are only a few dishes that appeal to me. At Cafe Miranda, I could go everyday for a month and not run out of interesting choices. The variety this place offers...at top quality...is truly astonishing.

Be warned...local vegans order a small salad and walk away full. The portions are huge and quite tasty. Service is very thoughtful and accommodating....It's packed with people but they do take reservations...review the menu ahead of time....it's massive!

Always been a good restaurant but just encountered a very unfriendly dog atmosphere even though they give you direct access to an outdoor patio area. Even small dogs are not allowed for no obvious reason. Times have changed and so should they.

My husband and I went to Cafe Miranda for an anniversary dinner. The restaurant is quaint but close seating. The food was AMAZING and the staff was fabulous. I cannot say enough about their food and how nice a time we had. Be sure to...More

NO, there is not a fireplace inside, but outside during cool evenings they have a gas fireplace. We were there recently and the outside was closed.

Kerry, the owner, is from Shenandoah, Pennsylvania. Shenandoah is often called the Polish Poconos and is the home of "Mrs. T's" pierogies and a yearly "kielbasa" fest. I'm certain you can get Pierogies, if you call ahead!
