Maynard's is like going back in time. The food is good and they also will help you celebrate any type of occations. Wedding and occations can be under the tent in the front lawn next toe Moose River.

This place is a great trip back into the past!! Its a Maine hunting camp unchanged since the 40s!! Walls decorated with all kinds of animals and the food was very good as well!

We have been going to Maynard's in the Fall for years and always love it there. The cabins are old but that's the charm. This is authentic Maine and nothing beats it. We have the Prime rib on Friday nights and it's amazing, big (too big?) but always delicious. This year the foliage was also spectacular, the best in many... More

We very much enjoyed our stay in the Scott Cabin. There is a kitchen with all the implements, dishes, pans, etc. you would need; a coffee maker; a private bathroom with a shower; a queen and twin sized bed, and some seating. We particularly enjoyed sitting on the porch early in the morning, watching deer right in front of our... More

Rustic, no-frills relief for the soul is what Maynard's is to my family. We have stayed there many times, and will for years to come. Every cabin is different, so matching the right one to you is easy. Need just a bed for the day or week? No problem at Maynard's. Need a kitchen? Again, no problem. Want GREAT meals... More

I really love dining here at this adorable, small and delicious restaurant. Make sure to get a reservation in ahead of time. They have always been wonderful with my gluten allergy!

Great breakfast at great price! Also, don't forget to visit the front room which has a lot of amazing and unique collectibles from all over the world.

great food, people and front porch for drinks. Always have had great meals there, Friday Prime Rib is the best and Sunday Turkey is better then home. Never a bad time there

I stayed one night at Maynard's in Maine, and the dinner was fresh and excellent! There was an ENDLESS dessert menu! Our cabin was rustic and warm. Just how I like it! It was fantastic for a night's stay, near all the atv trails and lots to do!

Overlooking a river off Moosehead Lake, the Maynard has approximately 16 cabins for renters, or you can stay in the Maynard, for people staying 7 days or longer the price is $69 and that includes breakfast, packed lunch and a set dinner. For those going to the restaurant meals might be considered a little pricey, Meatloaf was $20.95. An ideal... More

GREAT Dinner's in the woods of Maine as there are few good places in such remote areas! Thanks for putting them on the Tripadvisor Map.... we were so grateful to find this place and have a good and civilized meal!
