It was a perfect location coming in from a cruse ship and after a day of touring and shopping. Food was good and well priced.

Off the beaten path, but clean, great beer and good seafood. It was the very end of the season, so the menu was limited, but what was available was good. And beer was discounted!!

Good location near camping, and the waitress was friendly, chatty, but the bartender/waiter was grumpy, service was slow, dinner was cold and overcooked, and drinks were skimpy. Not the seafood we're accustomed to in Maine, loads of far better places within a short ride.

We came upon this place when we were looking for a place to have lunch and we checked the trip advisor app. Our waiter Dale had the typical New England attitude (sort of rude) but we knew this was normal for this part of the world. By the time we finished with our lunch we finally had him smiling even... More

First came to the Lighthouse 20+ years ago and came back this year again for old ties sake. Food was excellent as it was the first time even though the business had been handed down from mother to daughter. In the old days it was a fancier place with linen tablecloths and napkins and candles on the tables. This was... More

After a confusing morning at Acadia, we happened upon this cafe. We were first in, our server was warm and friendly, the kitchen slow, and food was great! We had a seafood omelet and a specialty omelet and big cups of coffee, definitely a great stop for breakfast.

We stumbled upon this restaurant when we turned the wrong way coming out of Acadia and needed a breakfast place. We were not disappointed! Very friendly server, delicious food, cute coffee mugs, and free wifi (which is really important out there!).

We were out enjoying the park loop at sunset and came out of the park near Seal Harbor after dark and wanted to find a seafood place for dinner. I had thought perhaps Northeast Harbor might have something. We saw a sign on the road indicating the Lighthouse Inn 1/4 mile in the other direction and we decided to quickly... More

We were simply looking for a lunch stop and as we drove down Main Street we saw a good bit of activity at this restaurant, so we decided to stop. Our waitress was new but she did fine and we ordered up sandwiches and drinks. The decor is very dated as in interesting, so checking out the maps, photos and... More

This restaurant is after you come out of Acadia Park (Seal Harbor) and 1/4 mile up to the left. It has parking off the street in the back. The food was good and the staff was knowledgeable and friendly. They are kid friendly and when we come back will probably make this our stopping point for lunch if we do... More

Seal Harbor, Maine

I apologize about the rude service, I am shocked by it although I understand. Dale does tend to get more praise than not. I am in the kitchen mostly and am not always aware of all that happens in the front of the house. The dinner menu isn't up yet because I am rewriting it presently, although customers will come in and ask to see the dinner menu. I don't have anything on breakfast, lunch or dinner menu that cost $25 dollars, between the three menus prices range from $2.95 to $21.95. We serve lunch from 11am to 4 pm, I never thought to post the times but I can see a need for that, thank you for the suggestion. I dont mind doing lunch at night, but I separate the lunch from dinner because all the prep involved. We are not a 5 star restaurant, I offer casual comfort dining, to accommodate the variety of guests we have. I am new owner so I am making changes as I can and I will be making many within the next year. I may or may not remove the linen table clothes at night. I do recall you coming in because you asked for lunch and it was after 6 pm, and recall commenting to the "rude" waiter that everything you ordered off the lunch menu is also on the dinner menu, I can not comment on the "bad" food because I don't recall exactly what you had, but think you had appetizers and a kids meal but am not positive, apparently your guest check is missing, as soon as it's found, I may write you personally about the food. I wish I could comment though because if you didn't like something, I'm willing to change recipes, and I certainly would have comp'd your meal if you were that dissatisfied. My goal is to basically fix what's broken, and have positive comments here, I cant make a new page as a new owner for the Lighthouse, because I haven't change the business name, my great Aunt named it so im not willing to change it (yet), so I take all negative feedback as a priority for change. Again I apologize for your horrible experience with us and wish I had known as it occurred. Take care & God bless. Kate
