The food was good, nothing special, but in the winter there's not much open. Breakfast and sandwiches are tasty and the staff and locals are friendly. It's nice to know there is a place to get some good food after a morning of hiking in the cold.

We came in this afternoon, cold, bitter cold, into a restaurant that was going to close in a half hour. We were afraid, thinking they wouldn't want to serve us. But. We were welcomed, not rushed, served wonderful hot food, freshly made, great seafood. Coleslaw was fresh, home made. Fish was fresh. Roll fresh from the oven. Scallops were amazing.... More

Crappy food with poor service. I will certainly never eat here again. The breakfast we had was subpar in so many ways, and the waitstaff rude.

I read the reviews and this place sounded good. But when we arrived, I should have listened to my intuition. The door was open and the screen was torn, so there were plenty of flies. The table was sticky as my companion asked the wait person to wipe it down. She was not surprised by this request. The table had... More

Reviews here and Yelp are consistent and good, and only being 2 minutes away, why not? They serve breakfast until 2pm, so a late breakfast for us was no problem. We both got eggs and blueberry pancakes, and it was quite good. We opted for the maple syrup ($) and it came out cold. We asked for it to be... More

We tried this place on our last day for breakfast and wish we went here sooner! It's a local, homey breakfast/lunch place. NOTE* there is not an A/C unit, fans only. They have your typical food for breakfast but what's awesome is they have options for every belly. You can order a 1 egg or 2 egg omelette. You can... More

It is great. I went out lastnight and woke up feeling very awful. B&L's saves my life every time. Order the french toast using the homemade cinnamon bread, you will never be dissatisfied.

Catering to locals, this little gem of a diner is tucked away on Seal Cove Road in a little strip center, barely recognizable as a restaurant. The service is friendly and fast. The fare may be basic, but it sure hits the spot. Prices are very reasonable: 2 eggs any style, 2 sausage patties, homefries, toast for $8.

Very good meal at resonable price. The wait staff was pleasant and attentive. There was no wait and you seat ourself.

Local great people with fine breakfast and lunch choices without pretentious prices. Try great blueberry pancakes or corned beef hash.
