We wanted to go to a real lobster shack. Well we found it. There is nothing fancy about this restaurant. You walk in order, get a seat and pick your order up at the window. Yes, the restaurant overlooks the water. We were there during...More

Parking was readily available as we made our way to Beal's. The Pier offers a good view of the harbor and we were happy to grab a 2 person table out on the pier. Ordering was easy - selecting size and type (softshell - which...More

Lots of choices on the menu, which satisfied the lobster, burger, and chicken tenders members of my family! You pick out your lobster as you come in. Dessert too...and a bar. There are outside covered and open picnic tables that you bring your food out...More

Highly recommend Beal's as the staff, food, and views made for a excellent dining experience. Outdoor, bar stool seating in the back provided excellent views of the harbor and the mountains in the distance. We enjoyed lobster rolls, haddock chowder, and sweet potato wedges.

Our first nite in ME, this is where we ate. Everyone is quite nice, especially with how crazy busy and all the steam!! I loved my lobster!!! The view is good if you can get the table, but even without "the view" it is a...More

This place is an institution, and THE place to go for great lobster in the area. Our first visit there was 20 years ago & they're still cranking out great food, with a good view of this legendary boat-building mecca. There's a great selection of...More

Had not been to Beal's in a couple of years. However, with Abels closed this summer and Thurston's not open on Sundays, we gave it a try. Under new management from a couple of years ago, our dinner was a much better experience. Same great...More

Went here twice for dinner this week. Pretty long line, but it seemed to move along. Garlic butter lobster roll was to die for! Fried scallops and Lob Cobb were also amazing! Check it out!

We went 4 times in one week. Dog friendly. Get a cocktail in the covered dining area before waiting in line. Onion rings were excellent.

As I recall the menu is the same all day. Lobsters are by the pound. Prices on other items run from about $10.00. Specials are on the board on the right as you walk in.

Description
Eat, drink and be messy. A visit to Beal's Lobster Pier is always a highlight - a restaurant that's on the water, with an atmosphere that's down to earth. At our working lobster pier in Southwest Harbor, Maine, you and your family will have a blast watching the boasts coming in and the lobstermen unloading their fresh catch. Hear the creak of rope on the moorings. Catch the scent of saltwater on the breeze and enjoy the waterfront view while chowing down on the freshest lobster you can eat. (Don't worry, the napkins are on us!)
