Four members of our family met here for an early dinner after church. My wife and I had not eaten here before and the number of cars in the parking lot made us comfortable that the food must be pretty good. There are lots of...More

Very nice spread and selection. All the foods tried were quite enjoyable. The atmosphere is pleasant-the wood helps keep the sound down. The service was attentive despite it being Brunch-very welcomed! Complimentary Mimosa added a nice touch. Will have to come back for another meal.
We were a large party of 9. They would not seat us until most of our party arrived. I know some places do that but they were not busy and it was a weekday. My French onion soup was very tasty. The potatoe skins were...More
If you like good down home style cooking, this is a great place to eat. The atmosphere is cozy, comfortable and unique with reminders of the horse racing industry of years past some of which took place in Bowie. The service was very good too.

Need a spot to talk business and close that deal? Rip's is the place! Excellent selection of lunch entrees that fill but don't stuff. And one of the few places around still offering that business lunch classic - the Monte Cristo sandwich!!
Basically a steakhouse with "country" atmosphere. I had the fried fish - a huge helping and my companion had a Chesapeake Burger - a burger topped with crab meat. Classic cheesecake for desert. Service was attentive and very friendly. Not Cheap Eats, but reasonable.
