After an average brunch with average service and being misled that an item containing sausages was vegetarian - after asking - an 18% tip appeared, despite no advisory about it on the menu. On top the tip was calculated on the after tax amount, ie was paid on the food tax and alcohol tax as well as on the food... More

We made our annual friends birthday celebration at the Irish Inn in Glen Echo and as usual the staff, food, and cocktails did not disappoint. We had a wonderful time in the quaint pub and our server was great. Spicy Bloody Mary's and Black and Tans were delicious. I had the Irish breakfast sandwich - egg, tomato, and cheese, and... More

We have been fairly often to the Irish Inn, a nearby restaurant. This visit probably was our last. We dined in a small room with far too many people talking far too loudly. I felt like eating and leaving fast, because I couldn't get a word or thought in without effort. The food was o.k., but the prosciutto ham around... More

Our group (four adults and two 2-year-olds) stopped at the Irish Inn for brunch in December, following a puppet show at the Glen Echo Park puppet theater next door. We should have known from the first moment that we weren't going to have the greatest experience at this restaurant ... the hostess was almost hostile when she asked if we... More

This is a good place for a casual meal. Food quality is good for an Irish pub. The place looks and feels old which is part of its charm. This is my second time here. Will be back.

It doesn't take Sherlockian powers of observation to figure out what Natalie, the hostess, at this place was doing. Since I share the same profession as the figure Arthur Conan Doyle based his protagonist on, I really took offense that we were shoved into a separate room, with the skimpiest table space to maneuver around. Every party ushered into this... More

A two course lunch for $16 is a bargain in this restaurant. Portions are generous and the food are just delicious. My family ordered traditional Irish dishes, sausage rolls and corned beef with cabbage. Our server introduced us to three flavors of mustard sauce. It was a very pleasant experience.

I had never been there before; the menu seemed to be sort of predictable pub food at pretty high prices. But tried during Restaurant Week (what RW is for in large part). What I can say is, the kitchen is chef-driven by someone who knows what they are doing. Food very well-prepared, rising above the cliches of the standard dishes,... More

Every time we go to Maryland we have to go to eat something there. Everything is so good. I'm looking forward for the next trip to USA.
