Had the crab cakes. Luke warm but curiously over cooked and dry. Accompanying sauce was nothing special and did not really match the food. Wine was very average. Disappointed evening I am afraid.

I want to like this restaurant, I really do. My sweetheart has lovingly endured two visits even though it is not his style. The vibe is decent. The first time we went, around lunchtime in the fall, we sat in the back, quieter room with...More
Gave it a try 4 times and each time was worse than the trip prior. Wait staff was not friendly at all. Food was average at best. One of the times I ordered the special Chicken and Waffles and the waffles tasted like frozen Eggo...More

The Laurrapin is a nicely appointed sports bar. We sat in a back room so we could easily converse with our guests. Seating was prompt and service good. The menu try's to promote locally grown products, but the prices reflect a bigger city. Twenty dollars...More
We enjoyed a surprising and unexpectedly good dinner here, especially after our disappointing lunch at the Tidewater Grille. To be fair the decor wouldn't have enticed us in had we not been recommended the place by the owner of the Washington Street Books and Music...More
