I took girlfriend to bernies because she wanted to try the prime rib. She ordered the smallest cut which was huge! I had the fried fishermens platter which was a monster plate of fish clams scallops shrimp. The food was great and the service was fast and you walk away with at least one more meal. I have also had... More

I came here with my girlfriend for dinner and was not disappointed. We started with the French onion soup, which was delicious but room temperature. I had the sirloin, salad and vegetables, she had the prime rib. Our entrees were massive and tasted equally impressive. We took nearly 3/4 of our food to go. The servers were pleasant but definitely... More

The train does not move, but just to sit and eat in it is really a treat for both young and old. Give it a try and you are sure to return!

We saw the advertisement of Bernie's on Phantom Gourmet for the big size and delicious looking Prime Rib. It was an hour away from where we live. We decided to take a road trip on this snowy day to celebrate our anniversary. It was so worth the trip. When you arrive there it's not any fancy restaurant but a cute... More

Friends have taken us to Bernie's, and we are glad they have. Most of their tables are in an old train dining car---- Very special. Their weekday lunch prices are amazing and include their smallest cut of Prime Rib, which, for this guy, is huge. It is either $I2.95 or $13.95 (I took almost half home. I couldn't imagine ordering... More

Very reasonable prices, big portions! Most everyone leaves with a doggy bag. I personally like the scrod florentine.

I was in Mass. on business and asked the hotel clerk where to go for lunch. She recommended Bernie's and I'm glad I listened. The place has an old railroad dining car so it is an interesting place. There specialty is prime rib so I tried it. I was shocked how big the lunch portion was for such a good... More
