Route 109 out of Boston heading south has all sorts of hidden treasures. Brickhouse Cafe is one of them. Located close to McGolf, this newly expanded local classic has become a hotspot. The service is fast. The food great. Prices are very affordable. If you get lucky, you'll meet owner Vinnie Marino, former prizefighter turned club owner/ restaurateur. I've met... More

Food here is always amazing. We live in Needham and always forget about this place. When we do remember about it, it never disappoints. Best Italian in this whole area. Service is awesome too. Hopefully we remember that this place should be more of a mainstay for us. We love Brickhouse!

We are frequent patrons of the Brick House. This is run by Vinny Marino, a legend in the boxing world, and a restaurateur with great fare. One thing you will notice: the staff does not turn over. They love working here, because the atmosphere is great. We have done dinner often and brunch once or twice. The brunch is an... More

We have been there 3 times in a 2 week period. The traditional italian pasta dishes are great. I had the stuffed shrimp one night and then the stuffed haddock, both were a disappointment. I did not care for the stuffing but the fish and shrimp were good. The salads are great. The service is very good. The pizza was... More

I don't understand how restaurants decide to be breakfast places and don't have iced coffee. After sitting down in a mostly empty restaurant and waiting 5 minutes for the waitress we asked for 2 iced coffees. We were told it would need to be made from hot coffee. I don't get it. Weather in the 80s and 90s for 40... More

My family went for Father's Day and had an absolutely wonderful meal. We had a mix of breakfast and lunch items. Pizza was great. They made THE BEST meatballs that I have ever had in a restaurant; so good that I got an order to take home. Everything was excellent. They had a great breakfast menu along with some lunch... More

Always wanted Vinny Marino to open another restaurant. Great brunch on weekends. We went for Father's Day weekend and it was great. The homemade corn beef hash is awesome! I got a second order. The poached eggs were not watery. The waffles are big and filling. The place is small but worth it.

The Brickhouse Cafe was one of the best dining-out values we'be experienced. The food was excellent. In our foursome, 3 had specials and one ordered off the regular menu. Everyone had great things to say about their dish. The food was delicious, perfectly prepared, and the staff was flexible about splitting salads, etc. The wine list was adequate with respect... Have been meaning to try this place for a long, long time! Went with my wife and boys and in-laws. It is old-school Italian in a simple casual environment. The late Mayor Menino ate here and Mayor Walsh eats here -- so you'd think it must be good. The food is the highlight and is so well done. We had... More

The food at this Italian restaurant is always good and crowded with locals. Evenings are packed but weekends are a little better at lunchtime . Friendly staff ! The space is pretty and renovated recently but the place is LOUD.
