The baked fish platter was good but nothing to write home about. The scrod was good. The chicken pot pie should have been left in the pot. Nice ambience and good drinks.

I love the Marshside ! The best Butternut and apple bisque. We get the cup every time . It is sooo good. I love the chicken pot pie with big pieces of chicken and the gravy just the right amount. We also got the chicken salad. The salad is huge. We always get the homemade chocolate cupcake ... this is... More
Had lunch at the bar on a beautiful winter day. Very pretty building and the food was good unfortunately the bartender was miserable and made our visit less than it could have been. She never smiled and did her best not to engage with anyone at the bar. The waitresses were actually apologizing to her as they placed orders. We... More
We were surprised that the restaurant was so crowded on a Wednesday night; however, we needn't have worried. We arrived in two cars, and the first car was already seated when the rest of us got there. We ordered a wide variety of entrees, from salmon, to fish and chips, to fish tacos, to Caesar salad, to duck, to chicken... More
The restaurant is a really pleasant building, with wonderful views over the marshes. We sat by a window and watched cardinals and other birds coming to the bird feeders, and chipmunks playing below. The food was really excellent and the staff are charming.
We have been visiting my wife's family on Cape Cod for fifteen+ years. My wife has been to the Marshside before and had warned that the food was not that great. I had not been there in some time and we decided to bring our family there for lunch. The food "not being great" is the understatement of the year.... More
Stopped here recently, overlooking the marshes, to relax with drinks and appetizers. We got their mussels, which were plenty and delish. Also their crab cakes which were very nice and a wedge salad. This place bakes their own breads, etc and the bread that came with the mussels was wonderful, tho a little more would have been nice - there... More
What a lovely venue! Right on the marshes, full floor to ceilings windows, wide open view with our wonderful, smiling, knowledgeable server, Judy V. Hubby chose the fried oyster roll which he enjoyed with a side of coleslaw. I ordered the spinach salad with a side of chicken salad. The Spinach salad had a sweet, warm bacon dressing which was... Much more than we expected. The place is huge inside, but meals were served quickly and exactly as ordered. While the fish was good, the steak and burgers really stole the show tonight. Would go back.

I have read that there is a "drawer of toys" and also many American Girl dolls for the children to play/sit with while dining. Is there a minimum age that the children have to be to be offered these items? I was recently at Marshside for lunch with my daughter and very well behaved 28 month old granddaughter and not one staff member mentioned it. We noticed upon leaving the restaurant that there were a lot of American Girl dolls all lined up behind the counter and when I googled Marshside was when I read that these items were available for children to hold and play with while dining.
