A well presented, friendly canal side pub serving good food from a varied menu. Special offers throughout the week. Excellent parking facilities.

Well what can I say? A pub I used to frequent often that through circumstance have not been able to visit. A lovely Tuesday, yes Tuesday at 5.30pm we took a table outside and went to order drinks. With myself and 1 customer at the bar it's hardly busy yet one more arrived at the bar who was promptly served... More

Drove past last week. Surprised. This is a long standing establishment, which was always very populatr but now the place is boarded up and the car park closed off.

Food was tasty but customer service was terrible. Meat was tasty but only enough veggies for one person. Will not eat there again.

Had a lovely lunch, generous portions, food cooked perfectly. Staff were very friendly and really attentive. Very surprised to see poor reviews as I would recommend the place highly.

My daughter organised a surprise Anniversary meal for 14 of us, we arrived for 6pm the doors weren't even open. When they did open a few minutes later it was very chilly in there. After about 20 minutes the waiter decide to take orders for food. Firstly no fish and chips available then there were 6 orders for lamb Henry... More

We booked this celebratory meal for 14 people. On arrival at 6 m the pub wasn't even open although the table was booked for 6 pm. When finally opened up there were dirty dishes on tables. The food and service were the worst I've ever experienced. Food wasn't fresh. Most meals weren't available off the menu. Service was awful. Got... More

We have had many family meals at the Broughton Arms over the last 10 years or so. The meals have always been good and the place was nearly always full to capacity. Booked a table for 10 last weekend for a family birthday. What a disaster! Had to wait almost an hour for main meal and it was barely half... More

First visit since refurbishment and the last. Poor welcome by staff, food not as ordered! No atmosphere and not overly warm on a winters evening. Very quiet - no background music so felt uncomfortable talking with friend. Waiting on staff sat by bar having a drink -very unprofessional. Finally, when paying bill and again having to wait for service, was... More
