Looking looking for good lobster rolls, on our way to P-town. Did research for lobster rolls prior to going, but came across this little diamond in the rough. Been by this restaurant many times before but have never stopped in. We were starving and the sign said "Best lobster roll on Cape Cod", so we turned around and went in.... More

not from the area we stumbled on this spot and could not be more happy with ur experience. The restaurant focuses on lobsters of various sizes and preparations, but also offers some of the best chowder and fried fisherman's platers I've had. My wife had the chowder and lobster while I had the fisherman's plater. We could not have been... More

This place was okay. I wouldn't suggest it to someone unless they were starving. October is tough on the Cape as most places are closed.

This place has a great location and cute look from the outside, inside is OK, but food is just mediocre. I wanted to try to lobster roll for lunch but the high price changed my mind to the clam roll. Clams were chewy and lacked flavor. Clam chowder was not the best I've had in Cape Cod. My husband had... More

Stopped here for lunch after being enticed by their "Best Lobster Rolls". Lobster Rolls were good, lobster casserole was chewy. Both dishes had plenty of lobster though. 1/2 of the restaurant was closed because it was off season. The ladies room was dirty as was the men's room. The urinalysis did not flush so the liquid on the floor was... More

We stopped here to get take-out of twin lobster special. Two 1 lb. lobsters were cooked and boxed for us to go. Lobsters were fresh and very good. While we waited or our order we had a cup of lobster bisque which was very good. We may go one more time before we leave the Cape. We had gone here... More

We liked the clam chowder and lobster bisque. The fried dishes were also nice. The cooked dishes were completely bland.

Drifted into this restaurant on a whim and had the twin lobsters. Nothing fancy but good food at a fair price.

We're returning customers to Lobster Shanty. if you're looking for great food at great prices, you've found it. What it lacks in ambience, it makes up for it with the food, quantity and prices. Kitschy at best, but terrific for families on a budget. Staff was friendly, helpful and food served hot and in a timely manner. Not fancy or... More

When in Maine.... eat lobster. The lobster roll was decent but not the best. The fish and chips were OK but not special. The service was OK. Overall -- average. Now, the lobster roll, while OK by "Maine" standards, is still excellent by standards anywhere else, so it's still very good.
