I stop here often when in town. The staff always remembers who you are, what you like and makes you feel extremely welcome. This restaurant works hard to make sure you are taken care of and leave happy. I highly recommend the Topside if you are looking for a friendly, relaxing dining experience with great food and service in Gloucester.

We wanted to try lobster, and their stuffed lobster was excellent. Elizabeth made our dining experience very enjoyable with her great service. Definitely plan on eating here when in Gloucester.

Had a late dinner with a co-worker. We split an order of raw oysters, an order of raw cherrystones and their names haddock. The oysters were good, clams and haddock were very good. Draft beer choices were limited and standard. On a late Thursday evening, the bar was quiet and the service good.

'Twas lobster for me and bacon cheeseburger for my spouse - both well prepared and nicely presented at the table. The weather was a too chilly for dining outside on the veranda, but the indoor section was homey and spacious. Special shoutout to Courtney, our server. She was personable, attentive, and delightful. I give this restaurant two thumbs up!

Worst chowder ever. stop in for a drink special eat elsewhere... They put more in their marketing than providing a clean spot for good food.

Went for dinner on a Sunday night. It was not too busy as it was the week before Labor Day. We ate upstairs in the pub. Our waitress was great very attentive and answered any questions we has. The lobster bisque was excellent as an appetizer. My wife had the lobster roll, fresh chunks of lobster with a light mayo... More

Great lunch at a good price. Food was just the right amount for lunch! Very convenient if you are going to do the whale watch across the street. Nicole our server was super friendly and helpful! Would definitely recommend!

We visited Topside on the Cape Ann Foodie tour and it was so good we went back for more. The lobster bisque and clam chowder were perfect. The lobster roll was also on point. A great atmosphere with excellent local food.

We stopped in for Mother's Day and were surprised at the limited menu. The first thing we noticed was that the restaurant is in need of some serious updating. We started our meal off with appetizers and were shocked that an $8 mozzarella stick appetizer consisted of 4 mozzarella sticks! Seriously? The entrees were nothing to write home about. Very... My family and I ate at Topside Grill on our vacation stop in Gloucester. It was Italian Night (Wednesday), so I ordered linguine with meatballs. It was delicious! The meatballs are huge, but very fluffy and easy to eat. Our server, Dawn, was friendly and attentive. We asked if there were a spot where we could sit by the windows,... More
