I am brand new to Gloucester was so excited to try a local place. Me and my boyfriend were rushed through dinner from a brunette waitress that clearly didn't want us there. Our chowder appetizer and entrées came out together. We were rushed, not impressed and we won't be back. Noël

Small cozy place. Friendly staff. Food came quick. Not a seafood restaurant as I thought it was from a google search. They have some clams and oysters, but it's basically a burger and sandwich place. Food came quick. Prices above average. Not a bad spot, but not a seafood spot.

I hadn't bee to Halibut Point in maybe 10 years but recently went on a trip to Gloucester and loved it just as much as I'd remembered it. We sat outside in their very pleasant space. All of the staff are friendly. We thought the haddock with mustard sauce was the standout. If you bring kids along, be aware their... More

I have dined here for over 30 years . Food is typical American seafood and steaks. Burgers are good but they will not toast the bun even when asked. Wait staff is good / friendly and the restaurant cooks over a grill most seafood and meats

Everything was very good. Was it the most amazing meal ever? No. But it was exactly what we were looking for. Atmosphere outside was amazing. Wait staff was excellent. Really good experience, would come back.

Halibut Point has a nice nice pub atmosphere with a good food. I got the haddock sandwich which was very good and my friend had the oysters & wings. I like the open kitchen concept & they have pretty good beer selection. The staff was friendly & attentive. I will be back again to try the chowder & check out... More

We had dinner in the back room of this restaurant. Pleasant surroundings and very good seafood. A very friedndly waitress served us. The front room, which has the bar and dining seating, was very crowded and filled with what was obviously a local crowd. A bit noisy but friendly.

Halibut Point offers a menu that is a step above the usual bar food fare or, on Cape Ann, deep fried anything. A true local pub that offers a good selection of draft beers as well. There is no question that Halibut Point is a superior operation to other more highly ranked Gloucester eateries, some of which are really no... More

They serve the best haddock platters with mustard sauce, cheese and bread crumbs on it. So creamy and flaky. And their mashed potatoes are to die for! I opted for coleslaw as a side and it did not disappoint. So good I still crave for it, but its so far away from New Jersey.

We had a gift card for Halibut Point so that was our reason for eating here but we will be back. Quick service and wonderful tasty food - seafood in Gloucester is definitely tops on my list but there are plenty of choices for non-seafood eaters. We sat in the back room which was quiet and further from the bar.... More
