Good place for a seafood snack including fried clams. Fast, friendly service and the clams were very good.

It's one of those small local places you might drive by, don't! The subs (try the broccoli parmesan or the steak bomb), pizza and calzones are delicious, the seafood is fresh and reasonably priced. Although it is the arancini I would suggest to everyone. One may not be enough, I usually end up wanting more as they are so good.... More

We ordered a few extra large pizzas for a gathering with friends. The price seemed high until we saw the thickness of the pizza. Their specialty is thick crust with a slightly sweet sauce. It's very filling and we definitely over ordered!

We stopped on the way back from a day of whale watching. The food was good, the restaurant was small and the only public restroom was tiny and definitely wheelchair friendly.

I went here with my sister-in-law for some Arancini as recommended by Sebastiens in Gloucester who were all sold out for the day. They offer one flavor which is meat, peas and cheese. It was steaming hot and came with delicious marinara sauce. I found that all of the flavor was in the filling and the rice needed a little... More

i had a mushroom and sausage and black olive pizza very good. The plain cheese was a bit sweet for my taste, but some parmesan fixed that. the Italian wedding soup and clam chowder and salads were all good as well. i'd recommend the pizza for anyone.

Huge slices for good price, not particularly artful, but what a deal. Soft and spongy crust, if that is what you like, sauce is not sweet, thank goodness. Great service with a smile, a great team!

Been coming to Gloucester for the last 20 years and until today, have regularly gone to Captain Hooks. Home made pita, really good arancini, mouse poop in my salad. That about says it all.

Captain Hooks is a great take out restaurant in Gloucester. The prices are fair and they have all types of Italian, seafood and subs ( aka hero sandwiches). The owners are from Italy and the food is authentic and delicious. There is nothing fancy about the place but the setting is right on the beautiful Mill River.
