No surprise to find busy restaurants for mothers day although our party of six was surprised to find our preferred restaurant didn't want to a party of six to be waiting as they had some reservations for six scheduled. Rather than split up we chose to drive a short distance to Koi on State road. Our lunch at Koi was... More

We will drive over an hour to eat this chinese food. Good vegetarian options and large menu. The dining room is elegant and slightly upscale. This is not your average hole in the wall chinese food - great quality and consistency.

A bit pricier, with fewer menu choices than comparable Chinese restaurants in the area. All the items ordered were tasty but nothing outstanding. Excellent fragrant tea. Initial seating and service was very quick but it took a while for someone to show up and take our order. It wasn't that crowded. Poor acoustix made it noisy and difficult to conduct... More

Escaped butternut ski slope and had dinner here. Very good wonton soup and spring rolls. The dinners were equally good and not your typical "10 minute" Chinese place. Sit down and relax. Everything on the menu looked good. Our food was good and flavorful.

The koi is done up in a clean style. the chairs are upholstered in a subdued orange with brass tacks, they are tufted with the back wrapping around to form an almost arm support. The walls are warm toned, the trim is a varnished butternut blonde, and there is a grand center entry that is 2 stories tall and has... More

Went there on a busy Christmas Eve without a reservation. The owner was very accommodating, though we still had a fair wait. Though we waited at the bar, no one took drink orders. Once seated, service was good, though the server had to recheck our orders a couple of times. Better to get it right, though. Hands down, best dish,... More

We've been here many times over 4 years and the food alas gets worse and worse. The chicken with broccoli had something seriously wrong: felt raw but seemed cooled. Otherwise tired heavy fare. However: wait staff is friendly and quick and the place is clean and bright. The ownership would do well to seriously upgrade the food before it's too... More

This is such a classic Cantonese-style Chinese restaurant. All of the dishes that you would expect are on the menu, and they are all well-prepared. The service is excellent and the restaurant itself is large and clean and well-appointed. There are a lot of other restaurant choices in Great Barrington, but we find ourselves here more often than not.

Took the family to Koi. I was very impressed. Delicious meal. The ribs and dumplings with peanut sauce were great starters. My duck with bok chow in a ginger sauce was exceptional. My kids seafood noodles were delicious. Lobster, shrimp, scallops and plenty of fresh veggies. My wife is gluten-free. That was not a problem. Her dishes were beautifully prepared... More
