The folks who own Mazzeo's Italian restaurant up the road have taken over the site and re-opened as Mazzcots, a sports bar. The Mazzeos have been in the restaurant business for decades. Halpins was facing foreclosure.

Unfortunately Halpins has closed their doors. My understanding is that a new sports bar will be opening there soon

After it opened it steadily went downhill into a dive.bar. Keno, pool, and loud music prevail. Food is really subpar and limited.

The food is good, the service is great! The super nachos are awesome and there is always a good selection of beer. Thursday nights are karaoke and theres always a good crowd for that. Definitely a place to check out!
