Attended a small dinner event at the Inn. It was adorable and the owners were friendly. A crudités platter was served with fresh veggies but a so-so dip. There were also interesting crackers and an artichoke-spinach dip that was pretty good. The dinner included a tasty spinach salad and the buffet included small but tasty chicken breasts, a very bland... More

The dining room was not open during this visit. The rooms at off-season rates are a real bargain. This place is beautiful with lots of nice touches. Several steps above your typical Holiday Inn. The bed is comfortable, the bath is more than adequate, and the view of the Berkshire Mountains is spectacular. Don't expect modern - this is an... More

The Inn could use updating, although the rooms are clean, comfortable and reasonable by the Tanglewood season prices. (You must stay three nights). The best part is that you can walk to Tanglewood and are very close to all that is offered in downtown Lenox. The staff is terrific, lovely porch where you can hear concerts and a generous breakfast... More

Yes, this was Alice's Restaurant up until 1979. Now it is an inn with breakfast available. You won't find a lovelier or more hospitable place to stay in New England. Working fireplaces in many rooms, and the friendliest staff in the Berkshires.

The inn was comfortable, reasonably priced, clean and quiet. Nice cotton sheets that had the patina of age without the smell of procter and gamble. Much more reasonably priced than staying at Kripalu if that is why you are going

Bland and plentiful Not inexpensive, but modestly priced for the area and season. You can do better.

The breakfast had fresh fruit, bagels, oatmeal, english muffins, juice, delicious jams - more than enough. Dinner is not usually served at this time of year and was basic but good.

Close to Kripalu at a fraction of Kripalu's overpriced rates. A little noisy, thin walls, but most are Kripalu students and respectful. Views are magnificent, bed is comfortable, staff is great, breakfast was wonderful, as is the Inn staff.

My wife Judy and I thoroughly enjoyed our 4 day stay at the Appletree Inn & Restaurant in Lenox, Ma during early August of this year ! Our hostesses, Sharon & Cassandra extended themselves to make our stay comfortable, enjoyable and memorable. We took our canvas chairs and walked down to Tanglewood in about 5 minutes from the Inn. We... More
