The service was wonderful and the food was nothing delicious! Great view of the harbor is an added bonus. Would highly recommend making the trip regardless of where you are staying on MV.

Breakfast was enjoyed by all by my family!!! I had Portuguese french toast - perfectly made!!!!! The coffee was good and strong. The staff was incredible. The view was just lovely! Lots of people stay at the inn here and there are many weddings here as well.

We stayed at the Menemsha Inn in July 2016 (really excellent, will review further), but had the misfortune of having breakfast in the neighbouring Beach Plum Inn Restaurant. The setting was lovely, and the menu classic, but interesting. Our problem was with the service. We waited 40 minutes for our breakfasts, which arrived cold. We informed the waitress, who offered... There many reasons to go to a restaurant apart from the food. One may go to see or be seen, one may see it it as a great place to bring a date, and in the case of the Beach Plum Restaurant, the attraction is the magnificent view one gets of the sunset while eating dinner. It must also be... More

The Beach Plum began this season under a new chef, Nathan Gould. After a few early hiccups (mostly in service) the restaurant immediately began to recover from what was a mostly disastrous 2014 season. The meal I enjoyed with two friends was far and away the best experience I have had in a Martha's Vineyard restaurant in many years. We... More

My husband and I dined at the Beach Plum recently and had an amazing experience. The food was extremely well-prepared. I sampled a vegetarian option that was inventive, beautiful in presentation, and really delicious. My husband chose a meat entree and was equally pleased. The setting, even though it was cold and rainy on the day we visited, we lovely.... More

This Menemsha restaurant is known for it's rustic chic. Excellent food and very friendly service combined to provide a very pleasant eating experience. All of the original dishes appeared to be locally caught or grown and freshly cooked. The daily-changing menu is composed of about a dozen unique dishes such as a kale, fennel and seaweed salads, a lobster-and-razor-clam risotto... More

We were anxious to return to the Beach Plum Inn Restaurant since the change in chef....we were not disappointed! The service was excellent as was the food. I had scallops with porky lentils(outstanding) and the corn on the cob prepared with cortijo cheese and chipolte aioli. My husband had the lobster ragu and pasta dish. For dessert we had the... Nathan Gouid, chef at the beach Plum restaurant, deserves Michelin Stars. The quality of food we had last night was as good if not better than some of the Michelin restaurant's we have dined in. This food comes highly recommended.

After what we could describe as a dismal visit there last year, we were happy to hear of the new chef and the recent wonderful reviews...so our group of four re-visited last evening. Absolutely to notch, in every way. Chicken butter and ceviche appetizers were spot-on; generous servings and wonderfully innovative tastes. The entrees included their farm-fresh vegetable ragu and... Description
The Beach Plum Restaurant serves unfussy and thoughtful food sourced from the woods and surrounding waters of Martha's Vineyard.

We rely on the tight-knit island community of farmers, fisherman, herdsman and family members for the perfect ingredients we use on our menu, which is written daily.

Celebrating its second season, the kitchen is run by Chef Chris Fischer, who also operates his family's vegetable farm, Beetlebung Farm, less than a mile down the road.
