There is much to like about Farmstead's changing menu - the focus on locally-sourced foods is excellent and the cuisine preparation quite delicious. We were drawn to eat there by the mention of morels, but sadly our chosen selection had many mushroom varieties but was missing this sacred spring treasure.... maybe it was the luck of the draw when the... We had an absolutely perfect brunch here today! It's a lovely spot directly across the the Newton Center T stop. The space is light, and cheerful. The staff was very nice. The food was outstanding all around. The Bloody Mary was excellent too!. A perfect brunch. Too bad we don't live closer!

It is a fairly small place, so definitely get a reservation for dinner, especially on the weekend. Well prepared appetizers and food with fresh, local ingredients when possible. Good cocktails and wine - no draft beer (worth losing a half of a rating point). Popovers were large and tasty. The wagyu burger I had was excellent, cooked exactly the way... More

Visited Farmstead Table for lunch, and was impressed by the variety offered on the menu, from creative salads to nicely prepared meats. Everything we ordered was top quality. Reasonably priced and excellent service,

We don't "brunch" often, but this was a treat! Great popovers to start (you can get only two and not the four listed in the basket) with wonderful rhubarb/strawberry jam. We each got the farmer's plate with "soft" scrambled eggs, fried potatoes, grilled toast and a generous helping of really great bacon. Nice ambiance and (mostly) well behaved kids at... More

I have been to Farmstead Table several times and enjoy using it as a meeting place for business lunches because it is a few blocks from my home. I happened to have two lunch meetings in two days this past week and had an excellent experience both times. The first time, I had a special soup, salad and popover option.... More

First time dinner visit was a disappointment. Did not feel very welcomed and server seemed irritated by menu questions. The service lacked attention to detail....soup was served without a spoon and a main course without a knife and fork. After attempts to catch attention of the servers, one of our party of four had to approach the bar. A request... More

We dropped in for a quick lunch with our daughter who attends BC and were not disappointed. From fresh squeezed OJ to scrambled eggs, delicious bacon & toasted spelt bread, all was fresh & good. There was even a burger topped with bacon & egg. Only hitch was an inattentive server but we managed. Definitely worth a stop if you... More

Farmstead Table is the perfect place for dinner on a chilly winter night. We started off with the freshly baked popovers, fried cauliflower and roasted brussels sprouts, all delicious! The special fish sounded so great that we all got it, and we ate everything! My husband got their special blueberry lemonade mixed drink, which was amazing. Definitely recommend this place... More
