We have passed this restaurant many times and not gone in, but last week we did and are so glad we did! it was my husbands birthday and they brought an amazing chocolate lava cake and sang happy birthday. The food was absolutely perfect! as well as drinks we ordered. So happy we "popped in". It is a bit small... More

I had asked our guesthouse proprietor to recommend and reserve a table for me. Obviously he is a man of good taste. The moment we arrived we were made to feel very welcome. The service was excellent and the food was even better. We had small shrimp which looked huge and were perfectly cooked and server on a tagliatelle that... More

Our dinner at Jimmy's Hide Away was outstanding! The grilled oysters and blackened halibut were amazing! The lively bar atmosphere was fun, and the waitstaff were delightful!

I have eaten here many times over the years visiting Ptown and the food and service is always consistently outstanding. We stopped by for a nightcap and Jim the owner was friendly, gracious and welcoming. It's a cozy place with a tenured service staff and is a "must" if you visit this beautiful quaint New England town. My number one... More

Jimmys has a cosy "supper club" feel and we liked the atmosphere. And we ordered French onion soup to start, which was excellent. Entrees, however, were extremely bland and disappointing. We went as a couple and ordered the salmon Wellington (which had been recommended to us) and a cod and Portuguese sausage dish. Neither had much flavor. Lot of rice... More

I visit Provincetown each year with a group of friends and each year someone in the group inevitable wants to eat at Jimmy's Hideaway but on our last visit the consensus was never again. It began with the incredible rudeness of the host when we arrived and as were finally ushered to our table in this dark cellar like place... More

I ate at Jimmy's last night for the first time. When you walk in it feels comfortable, cozy and friendly. The food was excellent. The grilled oysters are truly memorable. They literally melt in your mouth and are wonderfully flavored. The scallops and rack of lamb (a special) were also quite good. Service staff was very attentive and responsive without... More

Impeccable service in a perfect setting with world class food. Only problem: not much seating. Strongly suggest reservations. We went there early on a lark, getting one of two best tables by the glass facing the bay. Pure luck. The mixed drinks were perfect and powerful, the calamari and Caesar salad quite perfect, the Salmon Wellington unbelievably first class worthy... More
