WE went into the basement as the pub (where we really wanted to go) was full. We were hungry after going to the museum. We found a table for three and were told someone was going to come and take our order. We decided to order one course as we had to drive back to CT. No one took our... More

After a day at the Norman Rockwell Museum we decided to stop at the Red Lion Inn. There was a community carol singing happening in the lounge. We decided to eat in their downstairs pub. We chose the daily special which was a real roast turkey dinner with stuffing and cranberries.

Lion's Den is a cozy pub to dine and drink on a chilly New England evening. They offer live entertainment every night, usually local folk music and the warmth of a wood fireplace. Food is good, typical pub fare.

The nightly music was terrific as there is nothing to do at night in Stockbridge nice to have something to do in the evenings. we really enjoyed the evenings there. being that it was in the basement it was a bit dark w a bit of a dingy feel and chopped up with wall joist breaking up the middle of... We arrived in Stockbridge wanting just a quick bite before having Thanksgiving dinner later that evening. I had a good cup of chili and my husband had chowder that was OK. We shared a roast beef sandwich and it was tender and good.

This Pub in the historic Red Lion Inn is old (in a poorly maintained sense,) cold, and overpriced. The food is at best adequate.

My sweetheart and I stayed at the Red Lion Inn this past weekend (see my review of the Inn). As mentioned they have three dining rooms....The main room (pricey), the Widow Bingham's Tavern (less pricey) and the Lion's Den (my sort of place). They have a fixed menu with perhaps 12 different choices. However, they do have specials each day... More

This is one of the ONLY places with live music every night in the entire area this time of year. Food is average, prices good.

Live music every night is the draw here. People come and play cards and chat at tables over beer and snacks. Sandwiches and paninis are good.

The Lion's Den pub, located downstairs at The Red Lion Inn, offers entertainment seven nights a week, and never a cover charge. There's different entertainment each night, with regular appearances by local performers including David Grover, the Sun Mountain Fiddler, and the Housatonic Philharmonic, offering everything from acoustic folk to R&B, and reggae to the blues. Some nationally recognized performers have been known to grace our humble pub stage from time to time - James Taylor, Lauren Ambrose and Roger Salloom among them.On chilly nights ask for a table by the fireplace and enjoy a genuine pint of ale or stout, a glass of your favorite wine, or a mug of hot mulled cider - all accompanied by our classic pub fare. The Lion's Den is open (until 1 a.m. on weekends), with entertainment from 9 p.m. to midnight Friday and Saturday and entertainment from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. Sunday through Thursday. House guests can access the Lion's Den through the Tavern, or by entering beneath the red awning on Main Street.
