Waitress could use a personality transplant. 8 people in at the time for breakfast (Nov 16th) and she missed 2 parts of the order , 1 we never received but were charged for. No concern over the mistakes, no apologies. They will loose customers with her service.

Maxie's is a great deli in a very convenient location (there is good size parking lot right outside the door). The food is always good and the kitchen has a quick turnaround. The prices are in the single digits to high teens depending on the meal ordered. The place is always clean and comfortable. There are family groups and a... More

This restaurant can be a hit or miss. One never knows what you will receive for the food. Sometimes it is great and sometimes it is okay. The service is also hit or miss. Sometimes service is great and sometimes it is rather poor. We have had there catering service food and it is always excellent so that is why... More

I have to say i have a love hate relationship with Maxis. It has all the neighborhood ambiance of a memorable Jewish deli - complete with the funny regulars.... but I have some issues -- and have been there many many times. The most important being cleanliness.....(b-u-g on the f-l-o-o -r) my husband doesn't want to go back because of... More

This is an inexpensive and popular local place for breakfast and lunch featuring deli style sandwiches and meals. The food is tasty and the servings are generous. Irt will not win points for ambience or decor and it's not the claenest but it is a decent place for a simple, quick and filling meal. I really enjoy their breakfasts.

In many respects, Maxie's deserves a rating of Excellent, but the few drawbacks make me temper that, although none should prevent you going. If you tend toward claustrophobia, you need to know that this is a largely windowless location. It would be the basement under the Papa Gino's Pizza except there's a steep hill, so both restaurants are at ground... More

Maxie's is a local favorite. Their corned beef sandwiches are great. Loads of wonderful corned beef piled high on your favorite bread (mine's a bulkie roll). Put on a little deli mustard and add a great half sour pickle and you're all set. Maxie's is great for breakfast or lunch.

For all those complaining about how dated this place is, well there are lots of hip trendy places in the area that might suit your needs better. And I suppose at some point someone could get a fatty cut of meat, but it has never happened to me and I’ve been going there for about 20 years. So take the... More
