On the pricier side, but the food is top notch, fresh-caught and creatively prepared. The restaurant itself is in a former blacksmith shop adding great ambiance, but can get a bit noisy when fully packed. Do make reservations ahead, as it is a foodies paradise.

Was able to grab the last spot at the bar. Had a super well-made Manhattan and ordered the fresh oysters. The mignonette was super tasty. Had the panko sole and the capers and sauce made a fantastic dish! Great service, great food and fun atmosphere.

We were seated promptly since we had a enervation. We were dining with another. We all ordered Gin & Tonics. We were not warned that this would contain their own syrup. Not the traditional and mildly disappointing. We were wanting bread & noticed they charge...More

Blackfish is a hidden gem on Cape Cod in Truro and is definitely my favorite place there. This restaurant features all local ingredients and has a great dim lit romantic atmosphere. This year I had a fresh caught striped bass dish that was to die...More

We anticipated this being a special experience; but it turned into a bit of a disappointment. Touted by an acquaintance and the best meal she ever had, we gave it a try. My panko crusted sole was overcooked and nothing special. The cauliflower puree was...More

4 of us went on a busy Thursday evening. First, waitress was rushed and quite rude. Great salad and coffee. Fish and meat dishes were ok and presentation ok but certainly did not justify the either the prices or reputation.

This is the best experience and atmosphere. Also, the food is top notch from the hummus and bread to the main meals. The staff is always excellent. Desserts are fabulous! The drinks, wine selection, beer selection are outstanding! This is a must. Make reservations!! ENJOY!

Food is superbly prepared and delicious. The burger with bourbon sauce was really, really tasty. Friendly atmosphere. Don't miss dining here if you are in the area.

Although we have been travelling to the Cape from the U.K. for many years, this was our first chance to dine at Blackfish. The reason is that we usually spend a week there in mid to late October and Blackfish has usually been closed for...More

I've been charged for bread before, but also have not been charged. I think it depends on the server and the night. The back room does look great, but I've actually only sat in the front room.
