I had the Shrimp Queso which was good as was the service and atmosphere. Some on street parking available if you drive or a short walk from the sights.

Last stop, the iconic Black Dog! Table along the water in the back, great service, excellent house made pastrami, fried fish perfectly light coating and brunch all day with poached eggs over fish cakes!! Couldn't be a better ending and should be on everyone's list!

Staying Vineyard Haven the choice of restaurants is limited. Thankfully the Black Dog Tavern is there. We went on Lobster night and had a excellent baked stuffed lobbie with all the appropriate sides. Comfortable room and friendly service.

Having a black dog ourselves, we've always wanted to come visit and were pleased to see it has a local feel notwithstanding its "fame". People there were... More

The staff was sweeping while we were trying to eat our food with a whisk broom it was disgusting and the waitress could not be bothered to come over and check on our meal

The blueberry pancakes were very good by the rasher of bacon was a bit dry and uninspireing. It's a great local tavern and perfect if you are going/coming to the Vineyard Haven Ferry to Woods Hole.

We recently stopped at The Black Dog Tavern after arriving by ferry to Martha's Vineyard. It is a few feet from the ferry dock. The cafe has the feel of an old tavern even though it doesn't serve alcohol. There are pictures of tall ships and nautical items. We had very good eggs Benedict and pancakes. Ask for a seat... More
